BrimFrame Presents

Riff Racers
Riff Racers is the arcade racer I’m working on. I’m building tracks with shortcuts and jumps, and tuning how the karts handle.
Dedicated game site in development.

02 / The Studio
BrimFrame is an independent solo game studio by Daniel Schmid in Germany.
Riff Racers is where I’m starting. I chose the BrimFrame name so a future game could take a different direction.

I don’t want BrimFrame tied to one genre. Each game should use the style and mechanics that fit it.
The controls should feel good, and you should be able to tell what’s happening while you play. The visual style needs to help with that.
Your time matters. I want the menus to be easy to use and the games to be accessible. When something isn’t ready or doesn’t work yet, I’ll say so.
I make these games on my own. Every feature needs time to build, test and maintain, so I have to be careful about what I take on.
04 / From the Studio

Frostfire Run started with ice and fire, but getting it to work as one track took a rebuild of the road flow, shortcuts, jumps and pit lane. The first five-track demo lineup is now complete.

Thunderforge looked finished more than once. These are the final passes that turned a working race track into a place that feels alive.

Riff Racers heads somewhere darker. Cathedral Circuit brings gothic ruins, risky shortcuts, huge jumps and a living night-time cathedral to the first demo.

I write about making Riff Racers in the devlog, including the parts that still need work.
